Congratulations Jennifer and Sean McIntyre

It was such a beautiful ceremony at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, I can’t believe that I have been here for 2 years and I had never been there! If you love orchids, and art and places that make you glad that you live in Atlanta, then this is the place to go. The weather was perfect and the mood was saturated with joy. Jennifer was such a fun bride and Sean is a rock star so the two of them were great to photograph. After the ceremony, the wedding party had dinner at Shauns Restaraunt and let me just say, I was so excited to find out about this place! The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was very hip. I hear that it gets really busy so if you are intersted, get there early if you can. We later walked to the Trolly Barn for the Reception and the Desert bar was to die for. I have never seen so many beautiful deserts… Jennifer and Sean really have great taste when it comes to catering. Here are a few photos from the wedding.

My two girls

Zoe had her first “big girl bath” today. Up to this point it has been a little water in a little tub in a big bath. But today, we went BIG! My heart felt super big as I looked at these two girls that belong to me and thought of the enormous gift they are. Almost 10 years apart, they each have tremendous lessons that they bring along with joy that can hardly be contained.

I thought this was hillarious…yes, that’s bubbles on her head and I can’t repeat the secret that she told me. ha!

I placed 2 photos in the Winter Contest at WPJA.com!

This one placed 13th in the category of Reception. I love this photo becuase it is from my friend Stacy’s wedding in London last December. The older girl is from Ireland, she was so sweet and she was very interested in little Zoe. As the evening wore on, the girls became sleepy and Zoe was placed in the arms of Erin and you would have thought that she had been given the most precious gift possible. ( I think she was!) It was such a beautiful moment in the midst of loud music and all the carrying on. They stayed that way for quite a while.

This photo took 17th place in the Engagement category. “JUDGES COMMENTS: It is not an unusual photo motive, but the photographer has taken this photo in an extraordinary way, new and noisy. I love this smooth light in this picture. This photo has very good dynamic, strong and graphic elements

I’m happy about it. There are many amazing photographers and photos that placed. I feel honored to have placed at all. Yipee!

My baby sister is married!

Ashley and Cade were married on March 2nd in Utah and I have to say that this is the coolest (literally!)location that I have ever been able to shoot a bride and groom. After their ceremony in the LDS temple ( no pics allowed ) we went down to Utah Lake State Park where the it was about 10 degrees with a wind chill factor of about -20! The lake froze so much more than when we discovered this hill of ice the week prior. It was absolutly beautiful with the blue sky and snow everywhere!

It was great to see lots of family that I haven’t seen in years. Ashley had lots of really great ideas and creative friends to carry them out. She is super photogenic, i could have shot her all day, but I tried to control myself and let her enjoy her wedding. ha-ha.

The lake froze, then warmed and broke up. The wind pushed huge sheets of ice over 10 inches thick up onto the banks and formed mounds of broken ice. It felt as if we were on top of the world.
They did a great job “thinking warm thoughts”. I’m sure they have thawed out by now as they are in Hawaii. Thanks for being such great sports and climbing up to the top of the ice!

Congratulations Ashley and Cade. I love you guys!

Andy and Beth Marshall

My mom and sister go to the coolest church here in Salt Lake City, it’s called “K2 The Church“. They are a church plant from Kennsington, Michigan that came out about 3 1/2 years ago with a group of about 35 people. They are now over 1200 and growing. They are bold, real and out there as far as churches go. I would recommend anyone who is seeking the truth to visit their website and stop by on Sunday. You can have a cup of coffee and play a game of pool before you go in to the service. Oh, but let go of any pre-conceived ideas about what it will be like, because this ain’t yo momma’s church.

I had been in contact with the associate pastor, Andy, since last year when i came to visit. He mentioned that he would love to have some photos of him and his adorable wife, Beth, so on Monday we went up to Mill Creek Canyon and had some fun in the snow. They were so fun to be around and Beth was an absolute trooper in the snowball fight.

I love you guys, thanks for all you have done for my mom and sister.
