Mr & Mrs. Chris Williams
November 26, 2007 – 11:11 am
Valerie and Chris were married during the most beautiful time of the year. The leaves were on fire with color and the grass had turned to gold. To add to the beauty, just bring Valerie on the scene. She is one of those people who has a joy on the inside that radiates and touches everyone around her. They both have amazing families too. The kind that makes me wish they were looking to adopt an adult. I met Valerie’s dad earlier this year at a wedding and I am so glad he came up at the reception and asked me to hold the date for his daughter. I love connecting in that kind of way. It makes it so nice to show up for a wedding and already have relationships with the family. Everything was simply wonderful and I am very happy to have had the opportunity to be a part of it all. Thanks so much Valerie and Chris. Here is a bit of your story.
I love, love, love long veils.
Valerie and her girls. Her mom, Jane, was her matron of honor. I hope my daughters feel that way about me when they get married. My 10 year old has already asked me if I would be her photographer so there could be a conflict.
Chris is a huge baseball fan and a avid player as well.
Love that joy.
The Groom’s parents right after the ceremony.
The catcher of the bouquet. They’re getting younger and younger.
This little guy was entertaining the grown ups with a few magic tricks.
BEST WISHES TO YOU BOTH!
HERE’S YOUR SLIDESHOW.
A new level
November 19, 2007 – 11:07 pm
My new favorite is riding with the wedding party to the reception, if at all possible. It’s a unique photo opp and last weekend was no exception. I think there were 12 of us on the bus riding from the church to the country club. I have to share this photo because it just makes me laugh. I saw it coming. The bus was bouncing and her glass was rocking and the champagne was about to spill over the edge onto his shoulder. I saw the whole thing in slow motion and I didn’t say a word. I could have, but I just sat silent with my camera up to my eye waiting for it to happen. There was talking and laughter and then it spilled.
“CLICK”
I felt truly photojournalistic.
He noticed right after the shot was taken and then it all fell apart. The clean up had begun, and I had the shot.

They actually met in high school and they’ve been dating for about 5 years. I love that. They both have passion for God and compassion for people and I am so excited about their wedding next year. It’s going to be in Florida on the beach and there will be lots of friends and people I know attending so I’m trying to make it into a vacation where I can spend a few days hanging out with the girls before the actual wedding day. Here are a few shots from their engagement session.
David Crowder rocks!
November 19, 2007 – 10:24 pm
I am a David Crowder groupie. Well, as much as I can be with a busy married/mom life. I love his music and his love for Jesus. A bunch of us went to see him last Friday at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. It was awesome. Julie took her camera-camera and I opted out for my fuji point and shoot. She got awesome shots and I got so-so shots. I struggled with camera envy during the concert. Sometimes I have to just leave it at home so i can enjoy the time with my family and not worry about getting “the shot”. We had a great time and DC was super entertaining.
Steve was growing his goatee out for the concert. I thought it was funny that he would mimic the DC look. I remember wanting to do the same when Madonna was all that. The whole lace, hundred bracelet, army boot thing. I think he looks hot with those CVS reader glasses too. Madison was frustrated that her parents dragged her into the “pit” so we could scream and yell and all she wanted to do was sit down and get something to drink. Poor girl. One day it will be reversed and she will be too young for us to keep up. Until then….we’re gonna stay undignified.
