Adrenaline climbing

We drove up to Suwannee to an indoor climbing gym got out some of the built up ya ya’s. The kids had a blast.

They were using the chalk in this bag on the floor and after about 5 minutes this spyder monkey walked up to it and moved it. I didn’t know it was his and i felt dumb about assuming. Duh

Happy 41st Anniversary!

41 years of marriage. I’m proud to say that I know Ken and Barbera King. They are wonderful people and the world is a better place because of them. Ken is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and he has led a bible study in his home on Tuesday nights for years and years. Barbera also leads a ladies bible study on Wed. morning and they have seem countless lives change because of Jesus. They are the real deal. There is no guessing with them and they are not the kind of people to put on a show. What you see is what you get. It’s so refreshing.

They renewed their vows in their living room among family and friends, under the chuppah. Ken gave a brief lesson on the similarities between the Jewish Ceremony and Jesus returning for His Church, and when the time came for the bride to enter, he blew the shofar ( a traditional rams horn, blown in the old testament for various reasons, but all important). Barbera entered the living room in the same dress she wore 41 years ago. She looked beautiful.

The Bride circled the groom 3 times symbolizing her decision to enter the marriage

Barbara is holding a Ketuba, the traditional wedding contract that outlines the bridegrooms responsibility to and for her.

There are traditionally 7 blessings given to the Bride and Groom from various family and friends.

This is their original cake topper from 1966

My oldest daughter asked to shoot some photos so I said ‘sure’ and asked her to focus on people and ask them to pull some funny faces. I think I was the only one who played along.

Mar and Et’Chane

They met at Home Depot, so that’s where we decided to shoot. Not just any store, but the headquarters in Atlanta. It’s huge. I hear they have beautiful grounds too but since it was freezing cold and raining, we didn’t make it that far. We decided to get creative inside the store using various displays and locations. We had a security escort after Mar set off an alarm but they were all friends anyway so it just added to the fun. It was a mini session to get a save the date shot. Of course I got carried away because they were so fun. They are getting married next September and I am really looking forward to it. They are a Beautiful couple ( capitol B ) inside and out.

I love these! We thought of those ads where “Brains meets Beauty” but in their case, it could go either way.

Fun use of location. She is in the shower and he is on the toilet .
It was about 35 degrees outside, and windy. I think they did a great job at thinking warm thoughts.

The Shinns

These are my friends April and Harold and their 2 adorable kids, Kirsten and Andrew. I met up with them at Yule Forrest Christmas tree farm and we ran ( literally!) around a bit and took some Christmas photos.

Merry Christmas Shinns, I love you guys!

Ouch

That’s gotta hurt.

Look at that molar that’s coming in on Zoe’s bottom right side. That thing looks HUGE! By the looks of her, it’s not bothering too much….I’m praying it stays that way!!
