It’s only when I blog about wedding that I wish I were a better writer. There were so many wonderful details to see and moments to experience that before I even start to post about it, I feel inadequate. It’s a good thing that a picture is worth 1000 words. My favorite shots always go into the slideshow ( at the bottom of the post) and pictures that work better with an explanation are used in the blog. It’s so hard to choose what to use here so please make sure to watch the show at the end and see all the best.
The wedding was held at the Westin Buckhead which was absolutely beautiful. Terry Saxe, the fabulous coordinator, did a fantastic job pulling everything together. She was a picture of pure calmness and purpose. The ever popular Steve Moore did Melissa’s hair and I love this shot of the veil finding it’s perfect centered place while everyone looks on from the side.

The ring that was used for the Ceremony was Melissa’s grandmothers and the Hebrew inscription says “I am my Beloved’s and He is mine.”

This is Jeff’s mother and the reason that everyone is gathered around her is becuase her husband has just given her this incredible diamond necklace as a wedding day present. He set a very good example for his son in the area of gift giving. Good job, Mr. Siegelman!

Melissa and her mother, Carol, are two peas in a pod. I didn’t realize how much they were alike in the beginning, but throughout the night, as I saw Melissa dancing like a rock star, and then Carol was totally cutting a rug, it was obvious that they are grew from the same awesome tree.
Babies always tend to steal the spotlight and this little darling is no exception. Just look at those beautiful baby hands next to Melissa’s boquet.

The best man’s speech, which, BTW, I didn’t see him use it and he did an incredible job.

The bride and groom were escorted throught the hotel kitchen on the way to sign the Ketubah signing. They love to cook so this was a classic photojournalistic shot for them.

One of the sweetest details I saw, and have never seen before, was that every single guest that attended the Ceremony recieved a flower. The men wore a beautiful orchid and the women were all presented with a gorgeous spider lily. They also had hand stamped programs, which matched the menus at the reception. I also love the custom of the men wearing Kippots ( Jewish hats ). I overheard someone telling the mother of the groom after the Ceremony that it was so beautiful that he wished he was Jewish. There certainly is something to be said about rich customs that hold such tremendous meaning.

Just after the signing with family looking on.

I have so much fun just watching and getting to know people. I’m always asked if I ever get bored of weddings and my response is always a definate NO. I mean, look at the diversity of people and personalitites and relationships. This is the Groom’s mother and her close girlfriends and sisters. They were such a hoot!

Daryl Weisman did a spectacular job on the florals and after the Ceremony, the cake took it’s place under the Chuppah.

Melissa and Jeff rocked the house on their first dance with a fabulous Fox-Trot. We are big fans of “Dancing with the Stars” at my house so I quickly gave them both a 10.

This is Melissa and her Aunt Marilyn who is also her Matron of Honor. They are such great friends and I loved how the family was so close.

This is such a fun part of Jewish Weddings. I had the song playing in my head for at least 2 days after the event. Everyone who attended this wedding knew how to DANCE!

Melissa wanted to be a ballerina growing up and traded it in to follow her father in his lawyers footsteps. I haven’t seen her in a courtroom but on the dance floor, this girl can move!

Journey always makes people rock out. I’m pretty sure it was “Don’t stop believing”

The biggest shout out for vendors has to go to BIG SWING AND THE BALLROOM BLASTERS. What an amazing band! They were so entertaining, so good, so upbeat, so everything! After shooting for 11 hours, I was even sad that it came to an end because these guys seriously made it so fun!

I had the best time at your wedding, Melissa and Jeff. Thank you for the chance to be a part of something so beaufiul. Hit the F11 key, sit back and inJoy!
