Melissa + Jeff {11.twenty.08}

He makes her laugh. A lot, and she has a beautiful smile so everyone feels happy when she laughs.  We met at her parents house where we played in the leaves and sat near the stream.  The light was beautiful and there was such a sweet chemistry between them I almost felt like I should look away.  They were very comfortable in front of the camera and we were able to get some fantastic shots with sun flares, which I love, and a little of the fall colors that remain.

Jeff and Melissa live in Boston where he is a resident Doctor in Emergency medicine and she is a practicing Lawyer.  They are both brainiacs if you ask me. Doctors and Lawyers have a high percentage to have genius kids so we’ll see what happens a down the road.  LOL.

 They really wanted an urban setting as well so we drove downtown to Buckhead were they actually slowed down traffic a few times.  They are getting married tomorrow and I know it’s going to be a GORGEOUS Wedding.   Thanks Melissa and Jeff.  I’ll see you soon!

Brinsley + Beau {11.11.08}

If you ask them how they met, Brinsley and Beau will tell you they were set up. They met on a blind date that neither one of them wanted to go on but sometimes fate has a way of calling the shots.

After that initial meeting, they both fought the “feelings” for the next 3 months, thinking they were in charge of their own lives until love finally wore down the resistance and brought them together to stay.

Brinsley is a warm, compassionate Southern girl who has a tremendous heart for children. She works at Camp Sunshine where children with cancer can enjoy life experiences and activites such as horseback riding, arts and crafts and just making friends. Beau is a country boy at heart who loves to hunt and is also a Chiropractor which came as no surprise after he shook my hand. You know how some people give a shake that feels weak and unintentional? Well, my hand was totally lost in that shake and I imagine that he could ‘adjust’ any bone on any size body without any problems what so ever. It was that kind of shake. It reminded me of my best friend in high school who’s dad was a Chiropractor and every time I went to her house, he always gave me an adjustment whether needed or not. I loved it and when I met Beau I found myself looking around the parking lot to see if there was a bench so we could start the shoot of right. LOL.

I brought Madison along with me because she is always asking when she can be my assistant. She took some great shots and this one of them. I love the blur in it, it gives it more of a romantic feel. I think we shot these 2 at the same time.

I had a great time with you both and I’m really looking forward to your wedding next month!

Thank you, Harold!

A few days ago, a former groom emailed and asked for my address because he said he had something for me. I thought it was going to be a Christmas card or something Holiday-ish and I was totally blown away when I opened a package to discover not 1, but 2 of THESE!  I’m so stoked!!!  If you like new gadget camera stuff, you’ve gotta check ‘em out.  I’m set now!  Thanks, Harold and April. What an awesome surprise.

Zoe

Yes, I know, I’ve been slacking on the blogging.  Life has a way of getting me all caught up in it and on top of that, every time I sit at my computer, I’m working on creating Wedding Albums. For those of you waiting for yours, you’ll be happy to hear that and for the rest of you…well, thanks for being patient.

Zoe turned 2 last month so I thought I would throw up a few photos of my littlest dearling on her birthday. And BTW, my biggest dearling took the first photo. She is going to take over my business one day. She got the coolest little car, I think her big sister has more fun on it for now though.

Leave me a comment if you haven’t got to bored with me and left me all together.

Make a choice.

I RESOLVE TO...

  1. Not gloat if my candidate wins the election.
  2. Not be bitter in my disappointment if my candidate does not win.
  3. Not begin looking to the next election already to plan any strategy if my candidate does not win.
  4. Accept the official results of any close election calls, even if my candidate loses.
  5. Not be disrespectful of the president-elect by making insulting or vulgar plays on his name. I will afford him the respect due his office by not calling him anything other than his title and name.
  6. Not make derisive and divisive remarks about the president-elect.
  7. Refrain from fomenting hatred and disrespect on the part of others for the president-elect.
  8. Not seek ways to bring down, belittle, or defame the president-elect.
  9. Refrain from looking for dirt to dig up about the president-elect.
  10. Pray for a peaceful transition of power.
  11. Pray for less acrimony and more unity in this country; more bi-partisan cooperation and less partisan pettiness.
  12. Pray for the president-elect on the day after election day and also throughout his presidency that he might make wise decisions that are best for the country.
  13. Trust God who establishes kings (rulers) and kingdoms (nations). He is Sovereign. And He is still on His throne.
  14. Praise God that His will will be accomplished with and in and through the president-elect.
  15. Give thanks to God that I still live in a nation where I have the freedom to vote without fear, where I can express my opinion without fear, where I can worship God whatever way I want without fear.
