Aiden is the boss {01 nine 10}

John and Crissy are wrapped around his finger.  Plain and simple.  He cries, they jump. He cooes, they sigh. He’s hungry, they provide. He poops, they change. He lives and breathes and their hearts pound and melt.  Such is the nature of parenthood and first babies.  They simply can’t get enough of him and that’s exactly the way is should be.

Bobby & the Aristocats {01 six 10}

I had the privilege of meeting and photographing Bobby and the Aristocats last October at the wedding of Leah and Joseph and I was enthralled by them.  Really.  I felt like I should have paid money to be there and I might have even missed a few shots at the reception because I was so captivated by the entertaining qualities of this incredible band.  A few weeks later I was contacted by Linda, Bobby’s wife and singer-extraordinaire and she asked if I would come to Sambuca’s and photograph the band for an evening of Jazz. I LOVED being their personal photographer and was thrilled to shoot for them again last week at the second issue release party for the fabulous magazine, Atlanta OccasionsVentanas, the incredible new rooftop event space that encompasses the top two floors of the Park Pavilion building in the Luckie Marietta district gave a breathtaking view of the city and a perfect backdrop for incredible music.

A lovely surprise

I just got this super cool thank you gift from a friend who had an engagement session done for her son. The wrapping is cuper cute but the cookies are just incredible. I’m talking INCREDIBLE!

Yum! Thank you Robyn, and thank you Heidi’s Heavenly Cookies!

Dora overload

Don’t get me wrong, I love Dora, I really do. I watch her every day (sometimes from the other room) and I sing her songs (sometimes they won’t stop) and I even dream about her. We’re learning a bit of Spanish and we have multiple Dora dolls, video’s, dinnerware, cups, tupperware, clothes, and even the backpack. (there goes that song again) When Zoe recieved a Dora makeup and nail kit for Christmas she was super excited and I felt my heart flutter. Makeup. Gooey lip gloss and sparkly fingernail polish, a nail file, a picture frame and tiny Dora fingernails with a little purse to carry it all around in. Where ever we go she can take it with her and put on multiple layers of gloss. I’m really OK with it because it makes her so happy but fingernails on a 3 year old just doesn’t seem right. We put them on and she sat and smiled and said, “not my thumb.” They lasted about 5 minutes and I have no idea where they are now and I’m OK with that too.

Me and my girls {01 three 10}

I’m so blessed to have my sister photograph me with my girls. As you know, photographers are rarely in the picture so we took an afternoon to document the life i have with my 2 beautiful daughters. I feel like crying when i see them, it’s almost surreal to think they belong to me, that I have the wonderful opporunity to change the world by simply loving them to their potential. Thank you Ashley. I love you. I’m so proud of who you are.

She made a killer slideshow too!
