Brittingham’s at Stone Mountain. It could have been the North Pole.

This is the second time that I have photographed this sweet, sweet family and I hope it continues to be a yearly event. What a gift to watch the kids grow up and see how they change and become who they are meant to be. Cara and Kevin are incredible parents and you would never know that the temperature remained around 34 degrees the entire time. We were all freezing and poor little Ryan just wanted to be warm in her parents arms. Something that really helps in families with small kids is to keep them moving and challenged with new adventures. We didn’t stay in one place for long and came upon some areas that made all of the kids come alive with excitement and temporarily forget that snow could fall at any moment.

Aiden was the first to run off the “cliff” and into his daddy’s arms. You know if one does it, they will all do it. They did. Charge!

Kevin is a very cool dad. It’s so obvious that he adores each of his children, which I love to see and when Aiden and Reece found a log to stand on I was surprised to hear him say, “Hey why don’t you put it across that puddle and walk across it.” The puddle was about 7 inches deep and if they slipped they were going to get shoes soaked and probably be miserable. I wondered about the suggestion myself and when they voiced their apprehension, his continued to say “I think you can do it, I think you can do it.” They did and I’m not sure who was the proudest. Him or them.  There’s nothing like a father’s encouragement and faith in his children.

The lovely Cara. Wife, Mother, Friend, and a rocking Baby Photographer.

I love you guys and really appreciate your example of family.

The Hylton’s Maternity / Family shoot. Come on out, Evan!

Michelle is 8 months pregnant and she looks incredible. She has a pre-natal trainer and that’s why her arms look better than most women, pregnant or not. Anthony is about to become a father of a son, Evan, and little Nina gives kisses to her baby brother almost every time she passes by. I hope to be available to photograph the birth next month as I can’t wait to see him.
