Dyan + Derrick ~Las Vegas, Destination Wedding~

It knew it was going to be fun when Dyan called and told me that their venue had changed to another state. “Can you go to Vegas?” Um…*short pause* OK! They had already proven to be totally at ease in front of the camera when we shot their engagements last fall, HERE.

They chose The Spring Preserve as their wedding site which also came with the wonderful cuisine of Wolfgang Puck.
.

This is Brian Courtney Wilson, a wonderful gospel singer with a voice that can melt an iceberg.  He crooned out “Believe” to Dyan and Derrick at the end of their ceremony.  It’s a wonder that I was able to photograph because my equipment started to fog up.  lol

It was a beautiful wedding and as always, the full story is in the {{{{{{{{{SLIDESHOW}}}}}}}} with some of my favorite images.

Vendors who made it fun and added their own special talent:

Megan Payne and Debbie Damiano made the beautiful bride picture perfect with hair and makeup.
Michelle Lettieri coordinated the evening perfectly
Rory McAlister rocked the night with groove and style.

Rebecca + Craig’s Wedding ~Excellence Playa Mujeres~

Risbon-Clifford Wedding ~Playa Mujeres~

Simply Beautiful in every way. 41 friends and family stood and smiled, cried and fell in love all over again as Rebecca and Craig were married by one of their closest friends on the beach at the Excellence Playa Mujeres. I can’t imagine a single moment being more perfect.

Congratulations to you both. It was an honor to be there with you.

Rebecca + Craig ~before and after~

I met Rebecca and Craig 9 months ago in New York at this wedding and after viewing the images the next day they asked if I would be willing to photograph their wedding in Cancun (short/long pause) uh…YA! We did an engagement session the day before around the resort and I’m telling you, they are in LOVE. Even I felt giddy.

The day after the wedding everyone climbed aboard the Columbus for a sunset dinner cruise with grilled lobster and filet mignon. It was the perfect ending to their new beginning.

My sister, Ashley

She’s my sista from anotha motha. We’re 13 years apart and only lived in the same house for about 3 years when she was a baby. I moved to Hawaii when she was about 5 so we didn’t really grow up together as sisters should but over the past 12 years or so we have grown close as friends. We have laughed and cried together, had arguments and shared secrets with each other and over the years managed to visit each other in different states. She has become quite the photographer and specializes in lifestyle portraiture.
She is a wife, mother of 2 adorable children, friend to many, leader in her church, smart, etsy-shopper, lives what she believes and swims against the tide of everyday mundane life. I love her. She inspires me and I was so happy to have her come with me to Cancun and spend time together as sisters and friends, photographers and women. I listened to her have conversations with total strangers and watched in awe as she captured their attention and stole heart after heart. She puts thought into everything she does, there is no auto-pilot for her. I’m very proud to call her my sister. I love you, Ashley.
