Hello Knoxville, Tennessee!

I am here for this beautiful Indian wedding that last 3 days. Last night Me Wha and I went to a dinner at the bride’s sister’s house. I immediately felt underdressed becuase all the women wore such beautiful, elaborate clothes! Picture Pakistani wardrobes with amazing jewelry and silk scarves. ( It’s getting harder to find pregnant clothes that look fashionable anyway.) The father of the bride encouraged us to take pictures of everything that was going on in the house, from the men praying on one room to the women preparing and decorating in another. Kids ran free throughout the house and the food was awesome. ( I love spicy stuff! ) It was facinating to be immersed in this totally different culture and everyone was so helpful and happy to explain everything and answer all of our questions. Today will be the ceremony in the mosque and the henna party tonight….stay tuned…

Rachel and Stephen are so cool!

This past Sunday I met Rachel and Stephen to shoot their engagements, we had a blast. They are such a cool couple. Stephen is from South Africa, although I think he belongs in California because of his creative side and his hip demeanor. Rachel is just so sweet and fun to photograph. Her parents couldn’t be any nicer either so I am really looking forward to their wedding on August 5th. Here are a few pics from the afternoon.

Maui is like Heaven

I feel like I have been traveling so much! I love it but it is also a little crazy at times. I just booked a wedding for next weekend in Knoxville TN. It’s a 3 day Indian Wedding and I am really excited! I came home from Boston last night and am trying really hard to get caught up on things. I just put together the slideshow from the Maui wedding a few weeks ago.

The Fabulous Fox Theatre, Atlanta GA

On July 1st, I shot a wedding at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. I love that place and the coordinator, Jim Lane, is the coolest guy to run the show. Nicole and Bradley, you were both great to work with. I wish you all the best..Click here to see your slideshow.

Boston, Massachusetts

Today I am in Boston with my daughter Madison. Our friends are giving their daughter a sweet 15 bday party. It’s a huge event. It’s called a “Quincienerra”. I’m not sure on the spelling but it is a big deal. She has 14 attendants and my daughter is one of them. I’ll be doing the photography and I’m excited as I’ve never been to such a party. I’ve never been to Boston, we are actually in Revere. We went to Revere Beach when we arrived, it’s the oldest public beach in the country. They used to have roller coasters, boardwalk games, and even a 50 ft platform where a horse would climb to the top and jump into a bucket of water. Today, all that stuff is gone and they were having their 3rd annual sand sculpture contest. Winner gets $10,000.
