We’ve been connecting with old friends

My daughters have been having a blast playing with Laina, Blake and Scott. It’s been a while since they’ve seen each other and kids grow so fast! This is Madison’s best friend in California. She will be 11 in a few weeks. They are like two peas in a pod

Blake and his boxing buddy Rosie. The dog was having a blast…seriously.
Zoe has a new hairstyle.
I met Scotty when he was younger than Zoe. Now he’s 7

Ya, Rosie likes to chew things and she’s sneaky too. Good thing their cheap.

Anna

One of my favorite weddings from last year was that of Kelly and Anna in Maui. Not just because of the amazing location but because they are wonderful people and Kelly is the son of a great friend of mine. They now live here in California and Anna is due to have a baby boy in a few weeks. Here are a few shots of her.

You look beautiful, Anna!

Sean + Monique Askins +1

The girls and I are back in California for a visit. My honey stayed home for work and we miss him but we are so happy to be visiting friends and re-connecting with loved ones. It’s been a year and a half and while lots of things have changed, there is a lot that has stayed the same. Like the beach. It is still just as beautiful and peaceful and luring as ever.

I took my friends Sean and Monique down with their 5 month old son, Sinjin, and took a couple shots. Sinjin is the perfect blend of the two of them. Asian eyes and red hair. It doesn’t get any cuter than that.
I love you guys.

A Beautiful Wedding down to the last detail

I have to say that this wedding was so put together, every detail had a special touch. When I arrived for “getting ready” pictures, I was surprised to see that all of the bridesmaids had matching lounge wear with hot pink banners. The bride was in white, of course, but I was amazed at how great everyone looked and they weren’t even dressed for the wedding yet.

Everyone was so sweet. This is the bride with her mom, sister and neice. Brittan, the darling baby girl, has her own blog. ( That puts pressure on me since I can barely keep up with this one! ) ha ha.
I love this photo. It’s such a sweet moment. I opened the door to a smaller sancuary and put them right inside. The light was perfect as the room behind them was dark.

Savannah was the sweetest flower girl. ( aren’t they all? ) She loved the pink ribbon from her haiku. ( that’s the hawaiian word for the flower halo )

Can I just tell you that I have been waiting for 2 1/2 years to shoot at Eagles Landing Country Club? You know why? Because it is 5 minutes away from my house. Yep. For the first time ever, I shot a wedding in Georgia and made it home before I had time to listen to my phone messages. That’s amazing!

This is an ice bar inside the ballroom that was monogrammed as were the very fragrant candles that guests were able to take home. Cecilia picked a print pattern that was used throughout the whole process. It was on the invitations, menu’s programs, candles….so cool.

Instead of bubbles, or rose petals, the bride choose lavender for their exit. It smelled so good outside after they sped away, I think the limo was covered on the inside as well. It’s a good thing that the seeds are light and airy…someone had great aim here.

Thank you Matt and Cecilia. I had such a great time.

The Miller Clan

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for my friend LeighAnn, her 4 kids are no strangers to the camera and we had a fun time running around Woodward Academy. Their dad is the football coach there so they know everyone. We would be walking down the street and one of the kids would wave to a man and say “Hello Mr. so and so.” It felt like a back in time episode when it was safe to let your kids walk to school and there was no such thing as a stranger. Ah…the good ole days.
