Rebecca + Craig’s Wedding ~Excellence Playa Mujeres~

Risbon-Clifford Wedding ~Playa Mujeres~

Simply Beautiful in every way. 41 friends and family stood and smiled, cried and fell in love all over again as Rebecca and Craig were married by one of their closest friends on the beach at the Excellence Playa Mujeres. I can’t imagine a single moment being more perfect.

Congratulations to you both. It was an honor to be there with you.

Rebecca + Craig ~before and after~

I met Rebecca and Craig 9 months ago in New York at this wedding and after viewing the images the next day they asked if I would be willing to photograph their wedding in Cancun (short/long pause) uh…YA! We did an engagement session the day before around the resort and I’m telling you, they are in LOVE. Even I felt giddy.

The day after the wedding everyone climbed aboard the Columbus for a sunset dinner cruise with grilled lobster and filet mignon. It was the perfect ending to their new beginning.

Excellence Playa Mujeres ~Risbon-Clifford Wedding~

It was my first trip to an adult-only, all inclusive, luxury resort. Now don’t think wierd things at the adult only part, it was strictly for the peace and quiet of being away from crying and whining, jumping and splashing, peeing in the pool and all that stuff. The all inclusive part included 8 cuisine restaraunts, one of them sitting 3 feet over the main pool and swim-up bar where the drinks were included as well. Everything included. I experienced a similar situation on my first cruise in February, sans drinks, so needless to say I gained 3 lbs in 5 days. Pro’s and con’s I guess.

There were beautiful pools everywhere, big hammock beds on the beach with panel curtains blowing in the breeze, iguanas standing like statues in the sun and tropical birds singing in the trees. I know, it’s ok to be jealous. I would be too.

Heather + Brian ~South Beach, Florida~

The weather in Atlanta has been below average, with snow, freezing rain and temperatures that raise the bill from Gas South. So when Heather and Brian asked if I would fly down to their home in South Beach, Florida I didn’t have to think about it very long. I didn’t think about it at all. In fact, walking out on their patio overlooking Miami port with 5 cruise ships all in a row I thought about ways to convince them that they NEEDED a full time lifestyle photographer.
I laughed so hard while photographing the two of them. Brian is a very down-to-earth-M.D. but given a little leeway he turns into a full blown comedian that puts Zoolander to shame. I’m totally serious.

I flew back to Atlanta after spending the day with Heather and Brian even more excited about their wedding in April. It’s like my friends are coming to town to tie the knot and I get the best seat in the house. How cool is that?
