Edge Design Group Open House. Atlanta Wedding Vendors

Last night one of the best decorating teams in Atlanta, Edge Design Group, threw a little party to celebrate their new location on Faulkner Road in Atlanta. Maxine and Gabrielle are a dynamic, creative, fresh mother daughter team that consistently tranforms every venue they touch into a stunning masterpiece. Located at 2164 Faulkner Road in Atlanta, Edge Design has a beautiful showroom with examples of tables tops and crystal walk through chandeliers and centerpieces. The first time I worked with them was on Atlanta’s first Platinum Wedding filmed for WE TV and their aqua blue orchid and crystal chandeliers were like nothing I had ever seen before. They really are amazing.

The invitation said “bites and sips” and I was excited to find that the bites were provided by the wonderful Endive Fine Catering Company led by Chef Drew Ihrig

Brian from F and G Weddings is a top notch Wedding Planner who always brings the fabulous. This is his beautiful mom from Barbados, visiting for a few weeks to check up on him.

Cakes were designed and created by Lisa at Couture Cakes Inc

They have a lot more space now to store and organize their plethura of decorations. Categorized by groups such as Iron, Glass, Metal, Vases, Florals, Tables, and just about anything you can think of. They’ve got it.

Grant Leslie + Sam Mitchell {11 seven 09}

Grant and Sam are vintage. They live in D.C., met in the senate and they both carry such an elegance about them that I often felt like I was intruding. By that, I mean that Grant creates her own atmosphere and it permeates Old Hollywood. Style and Sophistication are understatements when you stand near Grant. She can’t help but be absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

We started at The Ritz Carlton, Buckead with 8 of her closest friends, some from D.C. and a few from Atlanta. The room was full of laughter, makeup, hairspray and love.

Edge Design Group created an incredible atmosphere at the Atlanta History Center Ballroom. Maxine and Gabrielle are a top-notch mother daughter team and every time I work with them, I’m blown away with the amount of effort they put into their creations.

Table seating was assigned in true Georgia style with adorable little peaches snuggled into wheat grass and moss.

During the toasts there were about 4 or 5 kids that seemed to be very attentive to what was being said. The toasts were very heartfelt and funny but then I realized they all had their eyes fixed on the cupcakes. Like cats watching a bird, they hardly moved. Except to fix a button or pull on a mother’s dress. I love that little section of time when the children know that cake is soon. It’s hilarious.

The Maxx rocked the night away and Grant and her ladies joined in to sing “I feel like a woman”

Grant and Sam have really, really wonderful friends. It was important to the to get some fun images of people who attended so we set up a photobooth in the corner of the ballroom and told guests to bring their personalities and some attitude and I’ll just say this. It was a blast!
